To the fullest!

This week was pretty special for me. I got together with a very special girl, we had a School academy where we had a lot of fun and Christmas is knocking on the door J. But today I would like to focus on that girl and the relationship I am in. It was a long time ago that I had such strong feelings for someone and I really had forgotten how beautiful it is to be in love. It is very different from the love for your parents. You think about that person all the time, you can’t get yourself to sleep and it is very satisfying to hear that they feel the same about you. Your mood is awesome nearly all the time and bad things don’t bother you that much. You also have someone to talk about anything and that can really help you to flush out your sadness, anger or another feeling really. I know about a girl that likes my friend very much but he doesn’t enjoy being in a relationship. I can’t understand why but I think that is because he just haven’t met a girl to make him feel as special as I am feeling right now. I know he will be reading this and I really think he should keep trying and one day he will find the right girl. You suddenly have an enormous motivation to live and enjoy being with that special someone. Maybe you have to make a choice to have a life of joy and full of satisfaction or to have a life with a purpose. Just like some scientists or great inventors. For example Einstein was a very intelligent and wise man but he never found love and he was very lonely all the time. I guess you can find some balance in between those two ways of life but you can never devote your life to work on your big project that someday may bring fame and be remembered as someone that changed the world forever (hopefully for the better). But maybe there are some exceptions... But thankfully I don’t have to make such decisions in my age so now I am just really hoping I can get that girl the best of both wolds and enjoy my few next years to the fullest. J

Freedom is one of the most important thing in life...

The U.S. elections have got me thinking about the political regimes we have today. The majority of countries have a chosen democracy as their regime. But there are still some countries that have communism. Because I am from Slovakia I learned about the communist regime in our country. I watched documentaries, heard stories, watched films and learned about it in our history class. I was really moved by a documentary that was about the government snitches. When you did something against the regime you could have been punished severely. But if the crime against the regime wasn’t a big one, you could have been given the opportunity to become a government snitch. You would get paid for accusing people that talked trash about the system or just listened or watched banned material (like American bands or seeing a foreign movie). These people would continue their normal lives and they had to inform to a special department about anyone that did „illegal“ things. So you could never be sure that the person you met isn’t a snitch. You had to be very careful when talking in public because apparently there were many people that were snitches at the time. My father told me that when he was in college one of his roommates was indeed a governments snitch. Can you imagine living with someone that could end your opportunities in the world forever? If you got reported you would get immediately dropped out of college and no one would ever hire you. Well, maybe you could be a cleaning lady but my father would never be where he is today if he wasn’t very careful. And that was very hard at the time because everyone hated the system. Everyone had the urge to talk trash about the government and share their thoughts with the other people. And he was sleeping next to a person that could make his life miserable in so many ways that I am having chills just when I am thinking about it. He would never meet my mother, he would never get into the world of business and he wouldn’t get his degree ( btw he finished college with a red diploma which is the most prestigious you could have achieved). Anyway, I am really happy that the world fought against that regime and that today the most of us can live in the world where you can express yourself and be free. Because freedom is one of the most important thing in life. If you aren’t free, you can never achieve your maximum life potential.

The future of tablets / laptops?

We are living in a world full of technology. Smart phones, computers, PCs...And the gadget market is still evolving. Recently Microsoft launched their „tablet“ called "Surface". I it’s really great because it runs Windows 8 and it has an awesome keyboard covers. Actually Microsoft is selling two models. One with normal clickable buttons and other with touch buttons so you can choose the one you prefer. And I think it could really change the tablet and notebook industry because you can have the productivity of a notebook and the multimedia experience of a tablet.
Tablets these day are not used so much as a productive device because you can’t write on them as comfortably as on a notebook but with the concept that Microsoft came up, tablets could really catch up with notebooks with their ability to write. And you can also switch between a tablet layout and a PC layout. So if you just want to watch a movie or read a book on it, you can simply just remove the cover and turn the Surface to the tablet layout and you will have a 100% tablet experience. And gadgets like these can really change the computer industry! Tablets with these special keyboard covers may replace notebooks forever because it is nearly the same as buying a laptop and a tablet just for a smaller price. Can you imagine how great these things are for writers? They can write their books or articles on it and read other books as inspiration on the same device. ( I am really considering buying one for myself J ) This invention is somewhat similar to e-mail. E-mail in fact replaced fax. People were already using computers and fax for contacting people at the same time. E-mail just put fax into the computer so people don’t have to use both services on separate devices. And by that made their life easier and the people also saved Money. And that’s what technology is all about, isn’t it? To make peoples’ lives easier. The Microsoft Surface is getting very positive reviews and I am really hoping that also the other tech manufacturers will catch up with Microsoft and produce their own tablet and laptop hybrid because I really think that this is the future of tablets.
