No respect or sympathy...

The situation in New York is growing more and more desperate. People are without fuel but the shortages are also in food and policemen. Yeah policemen. And do you know why? Well you see, a couple of houses got robbed the other night by some people wearing uniforms from the electricity provider. That’s just sick! Could you imagine this happening to you? So, your city was damaged by a big-ass hurricane, because of that you didn’t have power in your house for two days and now some guys wearing uniforms knock at your door at midnight, you open the door and get smacked down with a freaking baseball bat or something and then they rob you? What the hell people? If you can’t be good to people than at least have some respect! I really think that this is one of the worst thing you could do. Another thing even worse than this may be taking someone’s work and pretending it’s your own. I saw it yesterday in an episode of Californication. A guy that has a lot of problems is a writer and he didn’t write anything in a long time because he was trying to put his shit together and on top of that his father died. So he went to his hometown to attend the funeral of his old man and stayed there for a couple of weeks. The feeling of being home got him on his feet back again and he even managed to write something there. When he got back to California he wanted his ex girlfriend (that he still loves) to read his new  novel and give him a opinion about it. When she wasn’t looking, another girl took the papers so that she could make a copy of them. When the guy returned and collected the papers from his ex the girl didn’t mention that she made a copy or that she read them. On the way home the man that wrote the book got carjacked and his book stayed in the car. His opportunity to get back on track was gone! And the girl that made the copy of the book went to an agent and wants to get the book published under her name. No respect or  sympathy...That’s the thing that is going on in New York right now. And it is just a sad fact that these kind of people actually exist in our everyday lives. The bright side of the story is that the people of New York are now armed and ready for these burglars so there is a good chance of catching them. But I don’t think they are coming back...These people are cruel and cold-hearted but they are also cowards. I hope that the people of New York and the other regions that were hit by Sandy recover from this disaster as soon as possible and get back to their normal lives.

Good luck from Slovakia J
